BECL provides structural investigation for existing or new building structures, such as visual inspection, and pre-con and post-con surveys to ensure the structural integrity of the building structure and infrastructure.
Structure assessment is required to check the structural integrity and soundness of the structure and its components. The assessment evaluates the structure’s current condition for future use and the conformance to existing building codes.
Building and structures are required to undergo periodical inspection to ensure structural safety and stability, and to reduce the possibility of a collapse which may endanger the safety of the public.
BECL’s evaluation process involves visual inspection of the structural member such as columns, beams, load-bearing walls, slabs, roof of checking, foundation, and join for any signs of structural defects such as cracks, bowed walls, uneven floors, as well as signs of distress and material deterioration. Evaluating the condition of these structural elements helps ensure that it is able to continue to safely perform their intended function.
